White sets sail for Clermont

Jason White has decided to leave Sale at the end of the season to join French club Clermont Auvergne on a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old flanker has been at Sale since 2003 when he joined from Glasgow Warriors and has amassed over 100 appearances for the club.

Despite being sad about leaving Sale, Scottish international White believes it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.

“It has always been an ambition of mine to play in France and I am looking forward to moving to Clermont in the summer. I want to leave Sale on a high and am looking to helping them win some silverware before I leave.”
