Saracens will be without Michael Owen and Neil de Kock for the majority of the season after it was revealed they have both picked up serious injuries.
De Kock broke his arm in the victory over Bristol last Sunday and will be missing for up to 12 weeks as he recovers. Owen’s injury is even more serious and required surgery to fix his knee problem leaving the number eight sidelines for the remainder of the campaign.
Director of rugby Eddie Jones commented, “It is a blow as both players are important members of the squad. But the strength of your squad is determined by the depth of your squad and the other back rows and scrum halves in the team will need to step up.”
