Johnson demands respect and responsibility

Martin Johnson says he will not stand for England players acting irresponsibly and claims the squad are united in their stance not to see a repeat of the fiasco in New Zealand.

A number of England players faced serious allegations of a sexual nature whilst in staying at the team hotel in Auckland. Despite no further action being taken by the police, Johnson has stressed the importance of avoiding such situations.

He commented, “We sat down in a group this week and talked about responsibility. The players led it. We wanted them to. What the squad has been through cannot happen again. The players know that.”
