Samoa rugby shirts have always had a very distinctive look and the bright coloured designs reflect the warm climates they normally compete in.

Manufactured by Puma, these latest Samoa rugby shirts look more like football shirts than any other rugby top I’ve seen on the market. The main reason is probably the short sleeved design.

However, I like the simple design with blue body and white splashes across the chest which work well with the white collar.

The Puma is also very at home on this simple, classy looking top.

The only thing I’d ask is, where’s the fun? Samoa and other smaller countries with warmer climates normally have very distinctive and fun designs (take the Fiji shirt) and this is lacking the fun factor. Not that this isn’t a decent rugby shirt.
