Dan Carter said he was pleased to have his first game for Perpignan out of the way, after helping the French side beat Leicester 26-20 in the Heineken Cup.
The New Zealand captain kicked 16 points and played a key role in the victory, but admitted afterwards he was disappointed with some aspects of his performance.
“I was very pleased that our combinations worked well, though I was disappointed to miss two kicks. To have come and beat a team of the quality of Leicester in my first game in Europe was a great start.”
