Betsen Signs For Wasps
Former France international Serge Betsen has signed a two-year deal with London Wasps.
The 34-year old flanker who retired from International rugby with France after the last world cup has penned a two-year deal with Wasps.
Betsen who won 63 caps for France said “I have signed for two years with Wasps, their past speaks for itself.”
Betsen who plied his trade with French side Biarritz for 17 years will hopefully link up with Raphael Ibanez, his former Les Bleus colleague, at Adams Park.
During his time playing rugby Betsen has been has gained a reputation as a fearless tackler and won the Six Nations three times, including two Grand Slams in 2002 and 2004.
“I have been at Biarritz for 17 years. Three years ago, I chose to extend my deal with sporting aims that have more or less been carried out, but I already had this desire to leave and discover other things,” Betsen said.
